A special Peace Consultation was held at the Embassy of State of Palastine, Chanakyapuri, Delhi on 1st October in connection with the World Weak for peace. The consultation was jointly organised by the Palastine Embassy, WCC, NCCI, NWICCI and YMCA. The theme of the consultation was ‘Wall Will Fall’ based on Ephesians 2/ 14 ” God has broken down the dividing walls”. The Palastine – Israel Ecumenical Forum (PIEF) of WCC seeks the support of all member churches, faith based communities and civil society organisations around the world to join together to bring an end to the illegal occupation of Palastine. The meeting was very vibrant and dynamic. His Excellency Adnan Abu Alhaijaa, the Ambassador, the Embassy of the State of Palastine welcomed the gathering and delevered the key note address. He thanked India government and Christian Churches and christian organisations around the world for giving strong support for Palestine’s peace initiatives. Metropolitain Demetrios and Very Rev. Skariah Ramban of Malankara Orthodox Church, Mr. Ranjan Solomon, WCC, Bishop Collin C Theodore, Rev. Roger, General Secretary NCCI, Fr. Biju P Thomas, Mr. Samuel Jayakumar, Rev. Eapen Abraham etc. led the Christian representation.
