MUSCAT: Today, March 14, 2017 Ahmedabad Diocese Metropolitan HG Dr Pulikkottil Geevarghese Mar Yulios marks 25 years of priesthood after been ordained as a priest way back on March 14, 1992.
Says Mar Yulios who is presently on an Episcopal visit during the Lenten season to the Sultanate of Oman (Ahmedabad Diocese): “I thank Almighty God for His grace and also the faithful of the church for their continued support. I look forward for the same in the coming year too.”
On the occasion of the priesthood anniversary, Mar Gregorios Orthodox Maha Edavaka (MGOME) members under Vicar/President Fr Jacob Mathew, Associate Vicar Fr Kuriakose Varghese, will celebrate the Silver Jubilee of the ordination anniversary on March 17, 2017, Friday, at St Thomas Church, Ruwi, after the Holy Eucharist.
While congratulating the Metropolitan on the anniversary of priestly ordination, we thank His Grace for the loving and faithful service rendered to the Church. May God bless His Grace abundantly in his priestly ministry in the years to come.
Rev Fr George Pulikkottil (Puli Achen) as a priest had served in different parishes under the Diocese of Kunnamkulam, Kottayam, Madras, UK and Europe, Canada and the Diocese of America. His Grace served as priest for 18 years and later as Vicar for 7 years before being consecrated as a Metropolitan in May 2010 and subsequently as Metropolitan for the Indian Orthodox Diocese of Ahmedabad.
