Report on Investiture Ceremony 2015
The Investiture Ceremony of St. Gregorios School was held on 17th July 2015. The event started at 8:30 a.m. with the welcoming of Chief Guest. The chief guest of the day was Wing Commander Jaya Paul James, Commanding Officer, NCC Air Wing, New Delhi. The other distinguished guests on the dais were Rev. Fr. Biju P. Thomas, Chairman of the school, Vice-Chairman Mr. Kurien, Principal and the parents of the elected cabinet.
The programme started with a spiritual note followed by the welcome address by the Principal.
The limelight of the programme was the March Past led by newly appointed cabinet, followed by the NCC, Air Wing and the school band.
The chief guest hoisted the cabinet flag and took the salute of the marching contingent from the dais. Mast. Karthik Kohli, the head boy of the school administered the Oath of Office. Chief Guest, Wing Commander, Jaya Paul James pinned the badges to the elected members. The head boy and the head girl shared their exciting moments on being elected for the prestigious posts. This was followed by award ceremony.
Students who participated in The International Yoga Day, along with two teachers, Ms. Ritika Sharma and Mr. Dev Kumar were awarded certificates.
Chief Guest in his address gave a motivational speech commenting on the privilege of the cabinet members and their first exposure to leadership. He appreciated the exemplary discipline of the students and appreciated the staff for this credit. While congratulating the elected members he advised the other students not to get disheartened as they can show leadership in other fields.
As a token of appreciation and love from Gregorian Family, Rev. Fr. Biju P. Thomas presented a memento to the chief guest. He was also presented with a small sapling from the eco-club of our school named ‘Pallavan’ for ‘Go Green with the Nation’.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Vice-Principal Ma’am. She thanked each and every one for making it a grand success and thanked the chief guest for his motivational speech.
On the whole the programme went on well with the team effort of one and all. The programme ended with the school anthem.
