The students of St. Thomas College, Bhilai has outshined in the various sports events held at National and International level. 25 students of the college represented                Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur at All India East Zone Tournament and bagged many medals. In the East Zone Basketball Tournament (for Men) Kiran Pal Singh, Ajay Pratap Singh, P. Rahul Kumar, Parakh Singh won silver medal and Ms. Pooja Kashyap won gold medal in the Inter –University Basketball Tournament for women. In All India Power Lifting competition Ms. Shalini Nair got silver medal and Rashmi Nair won bronze medal. Outstanding performance at the Inter-University Tournament was also given by Samridh Kalkar, Jagjot Singh in Handball, Ms. Archana Bandhav, Hindraj Singh, Jasal Mandav, Aniket Nirmalkar in Football, Prateek Chatterjee, S. Abhishek, Pawan Das, Ms. Sakshi Sharma in Table Tennis, Dinesh Rathi, Sashi Nayak in Volleyball, Dipali Gupta, Mohak Jakhad in Badminton, Prasam Dutta in Weight Lifting, Nikhil Kumar in Judo and Prateek Krishnan in Atheletics. 17 students of the college represented the State at Senior National Level Tournament. 3 students of the college- Ms. Juhi Dewangan and Dipali Gupta (in Badminton)and Jaydeep Sahu (in Power Lifting) represented India at the International Level. College Administrator Rev. Fr. George Mathew Ramban, Principal of the College Dr. Reny George and faculty members have congratulated the students for their spectacular achievement in sports.
