Mar Serpahim meets Karnataka CM, hands over cheque for CM’s Relief Fund

BENGALURU: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy had a surprise visitor at his Vidhana Soudha office on January 25, Saturday. 
Bangalore Diocese Indian Orthodox Metropolitan, HG Dr Abraham Mar Seraphim, called on the Chief Minister and handed over a cheque of Rs 10,00,000 towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
The effort by the Diocese is to work towards sustainable upliftment of the farming community for which it took a step by expressing its solidarity with the community in the state. 
Both the Metropolitan and the state chief minister exchanged pleasantries during the meeting. 
Mar Seraphim was accompanied during the short meeting by the managing committee members from Bangalore Diocese and members of the Diocesan Council. 
Psychological trainer-cum-counselor Dr Abraham P Ruby, from 6th Sense Resources Pvt Ltd, also accompanied the Metropolitan during the meeting with the Chief Minister.
Others who were part of the delegation included Fr Santhosh Samuel K (Diocesan Secretary), Fr Skaria Mathew (Council Member), Fr K M Jacob (Council Member), Baby Thankachen (Managing Committee), Thomas Palat (Managing Committee), George Jacob (Managing Committee), Mathew Jacob (Council Member) and Zachariah Mathew (Council Member).
