CHURCH UNITY PRAYER AT STOTS

 

A prayer meeting was organized at STOTS in collaboration with the NCCI on 21st Jan 2018. The week of Prayer for Christian unity, January 18-25 is an annual celebration observed by Christian churches all over the world. The chief Guest of the Prayer Meeting was Rev Param Jyothi who is secretary to CNI Trust Association, Nagpur Diocese and Joint Vicar of All Saints Cathedral, Nagpur. The whole seminary family attended the prayer meeting.

ANNUAL RETREAT AT STOTS

The annual retreat at STOTS during the Nineveh lent from 22nd – 24th Jan 2018 was led by Rev. Fr. Biju Mathew (an alumni of STOTS and Asst. vicar, St. Thomas Orthodox Cathedral, Broadway). He compared the life of prophet Jonah to that of a priest and urged the Seminarians to walk on the paths of righteousness and truthfulness that are most important for a priest and ever pleasing to the all merciful Lord. The retreat reminded all to take the prophetic and priestly vocation seriously and to be a great blessing to the Church and Society. The Holy Qurbana on Wednesday 24th Jan 2018 was celebrated by the retreat father. During these three days complete silence was maintained in the whole Seminary Campus that helped in the renewal and enlightenment of the whole Seminary Family.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATIONS AT STOTS

The 69th Republic day of India was celebrated at STOTS. The principal of the Seminary Rev. Fr. Dr. Bijesh Philip hoisted the flag inside the seminary premises and gave the message. In his message he urged the future leaders of Malankara Orthodox Church, who are being trained in the seminary, to be good citizens of the motherland, who do not forget the call of our Lord, and will strive hard for the  building up of a just and peaceful India.   The entire STOTS family attended the celebration.
