INDORE: The 4th Ahmedabad Diocesan biennial MGOCSM conference will be hosted by St Mary’s Orthodox Valiyapally, Indore from October 28-30, Wednesday. The venue has been named ‘Sabha Jyothis,’ Pulikkottil Joseph Mar Dionysius I Nagar. The theme for the three-day conference is on Shema (Hebrew meaning for ‘Hear and Obey’).
For the first time, clergies, monks, nuns and missionaries from the sisterly Coptic Orthodox Church will take part in the conference as resource persons.
Ahmedabad Diocese Metropolitan HG Pulikkottil Dr Geevarghese Yulios Metropolitan and President of MGOCSM, has in a Kalpana dated October 14 issued from Holy Trinity Cathedral, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, urged all to experience the deep faith of hearing and being obedient in the Coptic Orthodox tradition and learn informative things and share from their blessed ministry.
Mar Yulios notes that the conference will bring in you, the ‘acceptance nature’ towards the distinct plan of God to be carried on this earth and urges the participants to take part in all seriousness as we celebrate Koodosh-eetho (sanctification of the Church) or the Feast of the Church which is the binging of new Liturgical Year of the Church along with the Diocesan Day.
The Metropolitan also hoped for a blessed year of faith-life ahead since the conference is being held in the blessed week of the memorial feast of St Gregorios of Parumala, the patron saint of MGOCSM. May the prayers and blessings of the Holy Father’s help us to reap spiritual gifts from this conference, the Kalpana notes.
