MUSCAT: St Mary’s Orthodox Church Ghala, Muscat, conducted the valedictory function of Youth Movement and Mortha Mariyam Vanitha Samajam (MMVS) for 2015-16 on July 30, 2016 after the Holy Eucharist.
Vicar/President Fr George Varghese presided over the meeting and delivered the presidential address.
Other members on the dias included senior member S K Thomas Vaidyan, Dr Prakash C Ninan, Trustee, P C Cherian, former Trustee, Sudeep C Kurian, Secretary and K C Thomas  former secretary.
Susan Cherian delivered the welcome speech while Suja Mathew presented the MMVS annual report, and Mathew read out the Youth Movement annual report.
The vicar distributed the prizes to the winners of Martha Mariam Central examination.
Melodious group songs by Martha Mariyam Samajam and Youth Movement members marked the occasion. A large number of parish members attended the function which concluded with a benediction and prayer.
Shibu John delivered the vote of thanks. St Mary’s Orthodox Church, Ghala, Muscat, began functioning from April 1, 2014 under Orthodox Diocese of Ahmedabad with HG Pulikottil Dr Geevarghese Mar Yulios  as its Metropolitan.
