MUSCAT:  HG Dr Yacob Mar Irenios, Diocese Metropolitan of Kochi, will be the chief celebrant for the Holy Week programme at the Mar Gregorios Orthodox Maha Edavaka Muscat from March 18 to 26, 2016.

The Metropolitan will also lead the Catholicate Day celebrations at St Thomas Church on March 18, Friday.

Dr Mar Irenios will lead the congregation during Palm Sunday Service on March 19, Maundy Thursday on March 23, Good Friday Service on March 25 and the Holy Easter Service on March 26.

Earlier, the Metropolitan was received at the Muscat International Airport by Fr Jacob Mathew, Vicar/President, Fr Kuriakose Varghese, Associate Vicar, MGOME Executive Committee and managing committee members among others.

Muscat Maha Edavaka comes under Ahmedabad Diocese Metropolitan headed by HG Pulikkottil Dr Geevarghese Mar Yulios.
