OVBS-OKR is one of the main spiritual nourishment of Outside Kerala Region children. The poster and cd for OVBS-OKR 2015-‘16 was released on 13th of September, 2015 at St. Thomas Orthodox Theological Seminary(STOTS), Nagpur by H. G. Dr. Joseph Mar Dionysius, the Metropolitan of the Diocese of Calcutta and the President of OSSAE-OKR after the Holy Qurbana by giving a copy of the CD to Rev. Fr. Kurian Thomas, the Director of OVBS. The presence of Rev. Fr. DrReji Mathew, the present OSSAE Director General, Rev. Fr. Dr.Bijesh Philip, Principal of STOTS and Rev. Fr. Dr. P.C. Thomas, the Director of OVBS-OKR, Rev. Fr. Shaji P. John, Vice principal of STOTSand Rev. Fr. John Mathew, the Treasurer of OSSAE-OKR along with many other dignitaries from the OSSAE Central Committee Kerala made the event memorable. A short film on the making of the OVBS-OKR Cd was screened during the ceremony. His Grace appreciated the efforts of the OVBS-OKR team and Dn. Jaison John for his creative mastery. The theme for this years’ OVBS is “Worshipping God in Spirit and Truth (St Jn 4:24).”OVBS in the OKR is conducted in four phases viz.
- Oct 18-25 – Pooja Holidays
- Nov 8-15 – Diwali Vacation
- Dec 26-31 – Christmas Vacation
- April- June 2016 – Summer Vacation
This years’ CD is packed with 27 foot tapping and lively songs in 8 languages. The CD also includes selected songs from the service of the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony in Hindi. More than 100 parishes from the seven Outside Kerala Dioceses are expected to make this years’ OVBS a grand success.
