ST THOMAS SCHOOL, INDIRAPURAM

On 7th August 2015, St Thomas School, Indirapuram organized a Special Assembly and a Tree Sapling Plantation Activity in the school premises in association with Max Cancer Centre, Max Super Speciality Hospital, Patparganj. To spread and create breast cancer awareness, few of the champions who underwent this treatment visited our school with staff and doctors from Max and alongwith the students of Classes VI and VII planted Tree saplings in our school premises. The students pledged to nurture these saplings as a symbol of the never ending cycle of life.Ten saplings were planted which will be taken care of by the ten different sections of Classes VI and VII. Some of the distinguished guests present were Mr. Neeraj Mishra, Senior Vice President, Dr. Meenu Walia, Director-Medical Oncology, Dr. Randeep Singh , Senior Consultant- Medical Oncology, Dr. Neerja, Consultant- Surgical Oncologist, Dr. Mr. Deepak Arora, Chief Medical Physicist of Max Cancer Centre. The School Principal, Mr. V.K.Kuriakose and Vice Principal, Mrs. Shali Nair presided the event, appreciated the Champions and encouraged the students to nurture the saplings.
