The anthropology, theology and schisms of the Syrian Christians of Travancore by L K Anantakrishna Ayyar. The author was a noted anthropologist of the early 20th century, the first such Indian. He worked with Edgar Thurston and contributed extensively to the Thurston set (Castes & Tribes) and also has writtenseveral books in his own right. This volume is probably the most comprehensive and extensive description of Syrian Christian culture, marriage practices, theology, the various schisms and so on.
