SINGAPORE: HG Dr Youhanon Mar Demetrios, Metropolitan of Delhi Diocese, will lead the 2019 Holy Week and Convention at St Thomas Orthodox Cathedral, on April 12, 13, 2019.
The convention will precede the Holy Week which begins on April 14 with Palm Sunday services and concludes with Easter services.
Mar Demetrios will lead the Holy Eucharist followed by Palm Sunday special Service and Evening Prayers.
Other main events scheduled during the Holy Week include Pesaha Perunal on April 17, feet washing on April 18 and Good Friday services on April 19 with third hour, sixth hour and ninth hour prayers followed by veneration of the Holy Cross.
Mar Demetrios will lead the Easter Proclamation followed by Morning Prayer and Easter special service and Holy Qurbana on Easter Sunday, April 21.
