AHMEDABAD: HG Pulikkottil Dr Geevarghese Mar Yulios, Ahmedabad Diocese Metropolitan, has officially commenced his visits to various parishes and congregations of the Diocese during the Lenten season.
The holy Lenten season began with prayers, Pethrutho meal and Subkono liturgy at the Baroda Mar Gregorios Valiyapally. His Grace delivered Lenten message to the faithful during the occasion of Subkono service.
Yesterday, on February 8, His Grace during visit to the St George Church, Bharuch, blessed the renovated church.
The two-day customary Diocesan retreat for the priests will be conducted at the Diocese HQ, at St Thomas Bishop’s House, Naroda, on February 9, 10.
After visiting Ahmedabad Cathedral and their chapels on February 11, 12, the Metropolitan will undertake an arduous tour visiting the remotes parishes of the Diocese spread over the length and breadth of Gujarat.

Feb 13-18: Saurashtra region covering Bhavnagar, Veravel (Somnath), Rajkot, Porbandar, Mottikavady and Jamnagar (Gujarat)
Feb 19: Nadiad, Kheda district, Gujarat
Feb: 20, 21: Mehsana, Gujarat
Feb 22-27: Holy Episcopal Synod at Devalokam, Kottayam
March 1-5: Sultanate visit to Muscat Mar Gregorios Maha Edavaka for installation of holy relics of St Geevarghese Mar Dionysius of Vattasseril with HH the Catholicos of the East.
March 6-16: 10-day visit to Cairo, Egypt
March 20-27: Leads Holy Week at Old Orthodox Theological Seminary, Kottayam.
