Muscat Sanghamam 2018 to launch widow pension fund,  alumni association, on July 13 at Parumala

MUSCAT/PARUMALA: ‘Muscat Sanghamam 2018’ organised by Mar Gregorios Orthodox Maha Edavaka (MGOME) Muscat will be held at Parumala Seminary Church on July 13, Friday. 
The parish comes under Orthodox Diocese of Ahmedabad (ODA), headed by HG Dr Geevarghese Mar Yulios Metropolitan.  
The highlight of the day-long programme at the Parumala seminary auditorium will be the launch of the widow pension fund, an ongoing project of the MOSC, forming a MGOME alumni association and announcement of various MGOME projects for 2018-2019 at the public meeting.

HH Baselios Marthoma Paulose II, Catholicos of the East, Metropolitans HG Dr Yuhanon Mar Chrisosthomos, and HG Dr Geevarghese Mar Yulios, Adv Mathew T Thomas, Hon’ble Minister for Water Resources, Government of Kerala, will attend the public meeting from 2 pm.  Fr Dr M O John (clergy trustee), George Paul (lay trustee), Adv Biju Oommen (Association Secretary), will also take part.

HG Dr Geevarghese Mar Yulios, Ahmedabad Diocese Metropolitan, will be the chief celebrant for the holy trimass at Parumala Seminary Church from 7.30 am. This will be followed by opening of a family meeting which will be attended by former MGOME vicars, members and present members of MGOME residing or presently in Kerala for vacation.

Dr George Onakkoor, renowned writer and educationist, will deliver an address followed by an awareness talk on cancer by Dr Mathew Jose, senior oncologist, SGICC, Parumala. 

The Catholicos and other dignitaries will be welcomed by a traditional reception.

Fr Mathai Pallath is the new Vicar/President of MGOME with Fr Bejoy Varghese, Associate Vicar, and Dr Geevarghese Yohannan as General Convenor for the Muscat Sanghamam 2018.
