Mar Yulios hails Modi’s victory, endorses reform measures as  a symbol of growth, development

AHMEDABAD: HG Dr Geevarghese Mar Yulios, Metropolitan, Indian Orthodox Diocese of Ahmedabad (ODA) has sent a letter of congratulations to Shri Narendra Modi, the incumbent Prime Minister of India.

The letter dated May 27, 2019 addresses the Prime Minister as respected Shri Narendrabhai Modiji, by the Archbishop/Metropolitan of the Diocese of Ahmedabad, Indian Orthodox Church, the National Church.
Dr Mar Yulios commends the Prime Minister saying: “We are thrilled at your resounding victory and the nation’s trust reposed in your good-self. It is an endorsement of your reform measures, symbol of growth and development.”

The letter further recollects the contributions of the Orthodox Diocese of Ahmedabad and mentions the humble contributions to the development of society in the field of education spanning the states of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

“We are excelled to state that we receive all co-operation and assistance from the respective state governments,” the letter states.

Mar Yulios further reminds his personal presence to wish Shri Modiji during his 2014 election campaign at Ernakulam, Kerala, along with Bishop Mar Athanasios (now LL) and also his attendance on behalf of the Indian Orthodox Church during the oath taking ceremony as Prime Minister in May 2014.

The Indian Orthodox Metropolitan assures his prayers and blessings to the prime minister, his cabinet and the government praying Almighty to strengthen Modi to guide our proud nation to further holistic excellence.
