റഷ്യന്‍ ഓര്‍ത്തഡോക്സ് സഭയുടെ ഉന്നത ബഹുമതി ഡോ. ചെറിയാന്‍ ഈപ്പന്
മോസ്ക്കോ: റഷ്യന്‍ ഓര്‍ത്തഡോക്സ് സഭയുടെ ഉന്നത ബഹുമതിയായ ‘സെര്‍ജി റഡോനേഷ്’ റോയി ഇന്‍റര്‍നാഷണല്‍ ചില്‍ഡ്രന്‍സ് ഫൗണ്ടേഷന്‍ പ്രസിഡന്‍റ് ഡോ. ചെറിയാന്‍ ഈപ്പന്.
റഷ്യന്‍ ഓര്‍ത്തഡോക്സ് സഭാ അധ്യക്ഷന്‍ കിറില്‍ പാത്രിയര്‍ക്കീസ് ബഹുമതി സമ്മാനിച്ചു. ഡോ. ചെറിയാന്‍ ഈപ്പന്‍റെ സപ്തതി പ്രമാണിച്ചാണ് റഷ്യന്‍ ഓര്‍ത്തഡോക്സ് സഭ ഈ ബഹുമതി നല്‍കി അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ആദരിച്ചത്.
മലങ്കര ഓര്‍ത്തഡോക്സ് സഭാംഗമായ ഡോ. ചെറിയാന്‍ ഈപ്പന് റഷ്യയിലും അമേരിക്കയിലുമായി ബിസിനസ് ചെയ്യുന്നു. അദ്ദേഹം സ്ഥാപിച്ച റോയി ഇന്‍റര്‍നാഷണല്‍ ചില്‍ഡ്രന്‍സ് ഫൗണ്ടേഷന്‍ ലോകമെമ്പാടുമുള്ള നൂറു കണക്കിന് ബാലഭവനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് സാമ്പത്തിക കൈത്താങ്ങല്‍ നല്‍കുന്നു. വിശ്വ വിഖ്യാതവും പൗരസ്ത്യ ഓര്‍ത്തഡോക്സ് സഭയുടെ അമൂല്യ ആദ്ധാത്മിക ഗ്രന്ഥങ്ങളുമായ ഫിലോക്കാലിയ, സാധകന്‍റെ സഞ്ചാരം, മാര്‍ അപ്രേമിന്‍റെ സങ്കീര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍ തുടങ്ങിയവ മൊഴിമാറ്റം ചെയ്യിച്ച് മലയാളത്തില്‍ പതിനായിരക്കണക്കിന് കോപ്പികള്‍ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച് സൗജന്യമായി വിതരണം ചെയ്തതിലൂടെ കേരള ക്രൈസ്തവ സഭകളുടെ ആദരം നേടിയ വ്യക്തിയാണ്.
പരിശുദ്ധ കാതോലിക്കാ ബാവാ ഡോ. ചെറിയാന്‍ ഈപ്പനെ അനുമോദിച്ചു.

ലഹരിമരുന്നിന് അടിമകളായവരുടെ പുനരധിവാസത്തിനും അനാഥബാലകരുടെ ക്ഷേമത്തിനുമായി പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുകയും “ഫിലോക്കാലിയ’ ‘ഒരു സാധകന്‍റെ സഞ്ചാരം’ എന്നീ ആധ്യാത്മിക ഗ്രന്ഥങ്ങള്‍ റഷ്യന്‍ ഭാഷയില്‍ നിന്ന് മലയാളത്തിലേക്ക് വിവര്‍ത്തനം ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്ത അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്‍റെ സേവനം പ്രശംസനീയമാണെന്നും പരിശുദ്ധ കാതോലിക്കാ ബാവാ പറഞ്ഞു.
Indian Orthodox faithful Dr. Cherian Eapen Honored by the Russian Orthodox Church
Moscow-Russia: Dr. Cherian Eapen a faithful of the Indian Orthodox Malankara Church was honored with the award of Sergei Radonezh – first degree by His Holiness Kiril- Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia. Dr Cherian Eapen was given the award for his work among the homeless children in Russia. He is the first foreigner to receive the great honor. The award was granted after the Divine Liturgy on the feast of the icon of the Most Holy Theotokos (at the Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God) of the Pokrovsky Stauropegial Convent, in the village of Markovo, Ramensky District, Moscow Region.
Dr. Cherian was a close associate of Metropolitan Paulose Mar Gregorios (Gregory of the East) and he is the founder and president of the Roy’s International Children’s Foundation.

The highest Award of Serjei Radonish given to Dr. Cherian Eapen on July 21, on his 70, by Patriarch HH Kirill. Never a foreigner was given this highest. Burch Award!
Dr Cherian Eapen (Moscow) is originally from Kottayam. He was a close associate of Metropolitan Paulose Mar Gregorios. Founder and President of the Roy’s International Children’s Foundation, Cheriachayan has distributed a good part of his earnings on philanthropic activities , particularly for the care of poor children. He translated Sadhakante Sancharam & Philokalia into Malayalam and published and distributed them free of cost a few years ago. In these efforts, he was greatly supported by Manorama, Fr Dr T J Joshua ,Fr Dr K M George and late P C Yohannan Ramban. When Yohannan Rambachen passed away, a very large Building was erected at Pampady Dayara to perpetuate his memory. Cheriachayan donated almost 75 percent of the entire cost of that building ( Dhyana Mandiram). He is still funding many projects of our church including a Boys’ home founded by Paulose Mar Gregorios Thirumeni. The Russian Patriarch ,while conferring the award praised Dr Cherian Eapen’s work for homeless children in Russia.His Holiness said this great man from India celebrates Easter and Christmas not in his comfortable apartment in Moscow, but among poor children found in the railway stations!
A humble, selfless person, beloved Cheriachayan is publicity-shy and informed only very few friends about the great, unexpected honour he received on his 70th Birthday. However , as the news came in Manorama today, I feel it my duty to congratulate a great son of the Malankara Orthodox church on his well deserved honour.
