Nagpur, St. Thomas Orthodox Theological Seminary was blessed by the Holy Apostolic visit of H.H. Baselios MarthomaPaulose II, the Catholicose of the East. By evening 06.00 of 1st December His Holiness arrived at the Seminary. After the evening prayer at the Seminary Chapel Bava Thirumeni addressed the community. In his message to the community Holy Father stressed on the practical aspects of sacred priestly vocation. His Holiness said that “experiencing and maintaining the sacramental life of the church is the core of the priestly vocation. Two sacraments: Confession and Holy Qurbana should be given due importance for our deification. Priests are the custodians of faith; every priests should be well aware about the ethos of the church and should take extra effort for imparting the faith of our Church among the people”. Bava Thirumeni also emphasized the importance of priests’ sincere and truthful efforts to ensure the wellbeing and peace of the parish community. In his welcome address, Rev. Fr. Dr. Bijesh Philip the principal of the Seminary mentioned that the happiest person after late H.G. Dr. Stephanos Mar Theodosius to see the progress of St. Thomas Orthodox Theological Seminary, Kalmeshwar is H.H.BaseliusMarthomaPaulose II. On 2nd morning Holy Father had a short meeting with the faculty members of the Seminary and later he met the nonteaching staff also. After a short photo session, His Holiness left to Kerala by 08.30AM.
