SOHAR, Sultanate of Oman: Ahmedabad Diocese Metropolitan HG Pulikkottil Dr Geevarghese Mar Yulios, turns 49 today, May 17, Tuesday. The Metropolitan will begin the day with a Holy Eucharist at the parsonage of Sohar St George Orthodox church under Vicar Fr Varghese Thomas. The celebrations will be held at the farm with the old, new managing committee members in the evening.<\/span>
\nGREETINGS FROM MUSCAT MAHAEDAVAKA:<\/b>\u00a0Muscat Mar Gregorios Orthodox Maha Edavaka (MGOME) Vicar\/President and Ahmedabad Diocese Secretary Rev Fr Jacob Mathew, Associate Vicar Rev Fr Kuriakose Varghese and managing committee have also extended their greetings of wishes to Mar Yulios on his 49<\/span>th<\/sup>\u00a0birthday.<\/span>

\nPROFILE:<\/b>\u00a0Born to Mr P V Pavu (late) and Mrs K V Anna on May 17, 1967, His Grace hails from a letter loving family, the famed Pulikkottil family from Kunnamkulam. His Grace is the member of St Mathias South Cross Parish, Kunnamkulam and author of over 10 publications. His Grace has a post doctorate research from the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen (Germany) adding to diplomas in Sanskrit, Hebrew, Greek, Latin and German languages.
\nAfter his consecration as Bishop on May 12, 2010, Fr Geevarghese Pulikkottil Ramban became Pulikkottil Dr Geevarghese Mar Yulius Metropolitan. As a priest from 1992, Fr George Pulikkottil (Puli Achen) served in different parishes under dioceses of Kunnamkulam (home parish), Kottayam, Madras, UK & Europe, Canada and Diocese of America.
