St. GregoriosSchool,Dwarka is in a jubilant mood as its Principal,Mr. M. Boyaz has been selected by the CBSE for conferring the coveted \u2018CBSE Award\u2019 to teachers for the year 2015.\u00a0 The award comprises a certificate of commendation, cash award of Rs.50,000\/- and a shawl.<\/span><\/p>\n

His meritorious services to SGS as its Principal has enabled the school to come to the forefront in the field of academic, co-curricular and disciplining levels.\u00a0 His vision, motivation and hard-work has made the school as one of the most sought after schools in West Delhi.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2003 when he joined as the Principal there were about \u2018950\u2019 students and now the strength is around \u20182300\u2019.\u00a0 In order to integrate teaching with technology and make the teaching learning process interesting and effective, introduction of smart classes, abacus classes, yoga sessions etc were begun during his tenure.\u00a0 Keeping in mind safety and security of the students CCTV and PA systems have been also installed in all class rooms. Introduction of extracurricular subjects and related activities like art & craft, pottery, music, school band, home science under SUPW have enabled the students to nurture their talents.\u00a0 Introduction of French as a subject from Class-V to X and starting Humanity section were well appreciated by the parents and students.\u00a0 Starting of different clubs, NCC and coaching for skating, football and cricket are also added to his credit, and these are helping the young minds to a world beyond textbooks and classrooms.<\/span><\/p>\n

Being a teacher for 30+<\/sup>years<\/strong> he knows that education involves in transforming the society through the children.\u00a0 Keeping this in mind peace marches on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti and Republic Day, padayatras to sensitize about health and hygiene in Amrahi village, rallies to contribute towards clean Delhi Drive, maintaining and taking care of Sector-12, Dwarka market, organizing charity works and raising fund to support Leprosy Foundation of India, SOS, Orphanage students etc.\u00a0 were conducted during his tenure.<\/span><\/p>\n

From time to time he has been entrusted with duties and responsibilities by various departments and he fulfilled them with honour and pride.\u00a0 He was co-ordinator for the programme\u2018SheraMera Dost\u2019for district South West-B during common wealth games.\u00a0 Civil Services main examination and CTET were conducted effectively and was appointed as CNS for Class-XII Biology and Business Studies for 2010-11, co-ordinator for Physics evaluation centre for \u20184\u2019 years and Chemistry Practical Examiner for Class-X & XII for more than \u201816\u2019 years.\u00a0 He has been entrusted with duties of enquiry and affiliation committee member for CBSE.<\/span><\/p>\n

Recognizing his contribution and suffers efforts as an educationist he has been honoured with several awards,\u00a0 he received the \u2018Social Action Award\u2019 by the Indian Development Foundation in 2007-08 for excellence in health awareness, resource mobilization and humanitarian services.\u00a0 For co-ordinating effectively and efficiently \u2018ShereMera Dost\u2019programme during Common Wealth Games he received \u2018ManavKalyanSamrika and ManavRatna Award\u2019 in December 2010.\u00a0 He is a recipient of Silverzone Educational Excellence Award.\u00a0 To his credit appreciation certificate and memento from International Maths Olympiad in 2010 and from International Informatics Olympiad for contributing to computer literacy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lions Club Delhi honoured him with Lions Excellence Award in 2013.\u00a0 The RashtrabhashaVikasParishad awarded him the \u201cDronacharyaPuraskar\u201d in 2014.\u00a0 He was conferred with the prestigious Dr. S. RadhakrishnanSadbhavana Award for excellence in education in the year 2014 and International School award by British Council for 2015-18.<\/span><\/p>\n

He has given his life for the cause of education and takes the extra miles for the benefit of the students and the institution.\u00a0 His vision, hardwork& ability to motivate the staff and students have enabled the school to rise to a prominent level and the pass out students were able to make inroad into prestigious institutions, colleges& even civil services.\u00a0 Honouring him with CBSE Award to Teachers for the year 2015 is a recognition of his hard labour and a token of appreciation for the same.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
