The\u00a0\u00a0Congress of Asian Theologians (CATS) \u00a0opened its 8th Assembly in Cochin on Tuesday 19th April. HG Dr Yakob Mar Ireneus of Kochi Diocese, Fr Dr KMGeorge, Fr Abin Abraham , Dr Saramma Varghese are among the participants. Fr George is a founding member of CATS that brings together some 70 \u00a0theologians from different Asian Countries for a weeklong meeting in search of shaping an authentic Asian identity and setting the contextual task of post colonial Asian theology. Dr Mathews George Chunakkara, General \u00a0Secretary of the Christian \u00a0Conference of \u00a0Asia , welcomed the participants at Presidency \u00a0Hotel and explained the leading role of CCA in initiating the Congress. The Senate of Serampore College is the host for the conference this year.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
