Also in training programmes, conducting courses and in publications. In activities that express our concern for the poor and the deprived, as well.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">We have initiated a unique series of programmes,<b><i> &#8216;Explorations into the Horizon of Faith &#8216;.<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">God, the Creator, who is incarnate in Jesus, and who is the Ground of our being, in the words of Paul Tillich, is revealing himself in newer and newer ways through\u00a0 scientific and technological breakthroughs.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">It is our human responsibility to search continuously how in history and in nature, He is revealing Himself in various ways and also to listen carefully to what He is speaking to us through various events. We, as human beings , are called to be ceaselessly on our faith journey towards our Creator.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">It is our conviction that we need to widen the horizons of our faith to know His will for our times and to commit ourselves to be obedient to His will.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">So we have been organizing ecumenical coming together of a group of pastors and lay people genuinely interested in <b>\u2018Explorations into the Horizon of Faith\u2019<\/b>.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><b>Fr. Dr. K. M. George, renowned theologian and former Principal of Orthodox Theological Seminary, is the key-resource person.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">In every session George Achen will make a formal presentation. The rest will be interactive sessions.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The programme is envisaged as a time for collective deliberations and reflections.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Already, seven one-day sessions have been organized.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The first session was held at the Sophia Centre, Kottayam, on 28 May 2013.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The topic of the first session was \u2018Nature as Scripture\u2019.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Subsequently we dealt with the following themes : \u2018The Human Horizon: Mystery and Mastery\u201d, \u2018Humanity and the Created Reality: The Bodily Connection\u2019, \u2018Divine Economy and Human Economics\u2019, &#8216; Facing Future: Human Hope and Responsibility&#8217;, \u2018The Gift of Freedom and the Task of Shaping Our Future\u2019.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The next session, the 8th\u00a0 in this series, will be held at The Sophia Centre, Orthodox Seminary Campus, Chungom, Kottayam from 10.30 am to 3.30 pm on Tuesday, 12 January 2016.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The theme is \u2018 The Human Frontiers\u2019.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><b>We, very cordially, invite you to this very important series of studies and reflections.<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">There is no registration fee.
